OasisWhile walking through the Oasis, make sure to pick up an Animal Kingdom Theme Park Animal Guide along with your guidemap and timesguide. This handy dandy guide will help you discover and learn all about the many unique animal experiences located throughout the park. Visit The Oasis Exhibits and roam tropical garden pathways which are home to exotic animal exhibits.

Discovery Island
Discovery Island is home to the Tree of Life. The Tree of Life vividly commemorates all living things and they place they share, in the great Circle of Life. Standing 145 feet tall and 50 feet wide at its base, the Tree of Life is home to over 300 meticulously detailed animal carvings throughout its massive trunk, gnarling roots and outstretched branches. Animals that appear to magically emerge from the tree include, but aren’t limited to, a lion, deer, eagle, monkey, hippopotamus, lemur, scorpion, dolphin, and more. The quaint village of Harambe was designed to resemble an East African port that caters to tourists prior to their safari excursion on Kilimanjaro Safaris, which is a safari ride through the lush African savanna. On your safari, search for lions ,elephants, giraffes, and more. After your safari journey, relax by walking through the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail where you can find more African wildlife, including gorillas, hippos, and exoctic birds.

Rafiki's Planet WatchHop aboard the Wildlife Express Train, a rustic locomotive that travels behind the scenes from Harambe, Africa to Rafiki’s Planet Watch. After departing from the train, wander through Habitat Habit! Learn about how you can share the world with animals at this outdoor discovery trail. As you continue walking into the facility, you can stop by the Conservation Station and experience animal encounters and interact with a variety of exhibits. The Conservation Station allows everyone to view veterinary facilities and labs, and even witness early morning animal checkups. Walk out back and have the chance to meet a variety of animals in the Affection Section petting yard.

AsiaExplore the landscape, culture, history, creature, and architecture of some of Asia’s most exoctic and intriguing countries in Animal Kingdom’s Asia. With inspiration drawing from Nepal, Mongolia, Indonesia, Cambodia, Thailand, and India, the mythical kingdom of Anandapur is a cultural melting pot. Anandapur is a royal hunting reserve - a village that evolved and thrived, while the reserve has began to ruin and decay.

On your trip through Asia, visit Flights of Wonder and learn about exoctic birds as they display their guile and grace in this inspirational, educational show. Afterwards, embark on a self-guided walking tour of Maharajah Jungle Trek where you can visit the homes of tigers, bats, and a Komodo dragon. Take a ride on a speeding train through the Himalayan mountains on Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain. Learn about life on the mountain and the legend of the Yeti. On the walk to board the train for your journey, you’ll pass through the Yeti Museum, which houses genuine artifacts from expedition groups.

Dinoland U.S.A.As you enter Dinoland U.S.A., you’re greeted by a 50-foot fall skeleton of a Brachiosaurus that spans the Oldengate Bridge. Dinoland U.S.A. is not only a trip back in time; it’s a complete departure from what you find in the rest of the Animal Kingdom. Take your time and visit The Boneyard where you can learn about fossils, explore, and have fun at an interactive dinosaur dig-site playground.

Prepare yourself for an intense blast into the past on Dinosaur. Before you strap yourself into your Time Rover, you’ll be treated to a tour of the Dino Institute where Bill Nye the Science Guy will teach you about the days when the T-Rex roamed the earth. Learn all about Dinosaurs and their extinction in this educational line queue. Finally, you’ll go back in time to the day when a giant meteor hit earth and caused the extinction of all living things to retrieve and bring back an Iguanodon.
Take your time to explore Dinoland and find interesting Dinosaur models, replicas, and learn fun facts along the way! |
